In May 2004, mattmedia of Florida purchased an investment property in severe need of repair. I always had a passion for home interior design, but until I directed those upgrades I never realized I also had a talent for it. I always had a unique style in my own home, and every visitor would comment on how beautiful my home was.
We have purchased other homes and put my frugal decorating techniques to work. Small budget, big profit margin.
Flipping homes has become a very competitive real estate business. Increasingly, high return depends on selling improved "turn-key" homes. Consumers want their residences inviting and ready to move into. Unless the buyers are in the construction business, they will not want what you are selling. The flipping market is for the basic handyman.
Making profits by carefully honing homes while squeezing pennies is an experience worth sharing. So I am driven to begin my own business: Frugal Design Consulting, a.k.a. FSBO Marketing & Consulting.
I have vision for home improvement on a small budget. I have learned that when you want to sell quickly, giving the home a little personality is what it takes to catch buyers' eyes. The typical freshly painted white house is no different from any other freshly painted white house on the market except for the floor plan. Giving the home personality motivates a buyer's imagination!
My consulting service includes all of the footwork to help the investor or savvy private homeseller carry out a customized improvement plan: choosing paints, trim, tile, window coverings, et cetera — whatever it takes to spiff and stage the entire property.
Improvement On A Small Budget is my specialty. As investors, we want to spend as little as possible and sell quickly. A home with personality sells faster.
